Pipe & drain inspections
Find the problem before you start digging
Slow drains, bad smells, or water backing up again?
Our CCTV pipe and drain inspections help pinpoint what’s causing your drainage issues, so cleaning or repairs can be properly targeted without unnecessary excavation.
Give us a call today to arrange an inspection. We serve the South Taranaki region and can travel further upon request.
What we look for during an inspection
From household drains to rural drainage and effluent lines, our inspection equipment helps us investigate a range of underground drainage issues across South Taranaki.
We can:
Locate drain blockages and buildup
Identify damaged or problem areas within pipework
Investigate recurring drainage issues
If we find that a blockage is causing the problem, our team can unblock and clear your drain using high-pressure water jetting to clear the obstruction and flush out the pipework.
Clearer inspections with our pan & tilt camera
Our state-of-the-art full HD pan & tilt camera gives us a crystal-clear view inside your pipes and drains, helping us spot issues that can’t be seen from the surface.
With integrated lighting and remote operation, the camera captures and records what’s happening inside the line, giving us the detail we need to assess the problem and determine what to do next.
Signs you need a drain or pipe inspection
Some drainage problems are obvious. Others keep coming back without a clear cause.
If you’re experiencing any of the following, it might be time to take a closer look inside:
Drains that keep blocking after they’ve been cleared
Slow-draining sinks, showers or basins
Bad smells coming from drains
Water pooling around outdoor drains
A blockage or drainage issue where you’re not sure of the exact location
How we inspect your pipes & drains
Inspect inside the pipe
Using our Full HD Pan & Tilt camera, we inspect the inside of the pipe and record what we find.
Pinpoint the problem
Using our DD130 Leica locator, we can pinpoint the location of the issue from above ground, so we know where any further work needs to be focused.
Assess what needs to happen next
Once we know what and where the problem is, we’ll work out what’s required to get it sorted. This could mean clearing a blockage with high-pressure water jetting or arranging repairs through our network of qualified drainlayers.
No mess left behind
With minimal disruption to your property, we’ll leave your site clean and tidy when the inspection is done.

If we find a blockage, we can use high-pressure water jetting to break up and remove the obstruction, then flush the pipework to clear remaining debris and restore proper flow. If we uncover damage instead, we can arrange and manage any required repairs through our network of qualified drainlayers.
